A new way to book riding in Cirencester Park

From Monday 24th June 2024, all of those wishing to enjoy the miles of uninterrupted riding routes in the spectacular Cirencester Park need to become a Ride in the Park Member. To become a member, sign up via our website: The Riding in the Park.

All riders in the Park are required to demonstrate they are covered by third-party liability insurance. You provide this detail with us when signing up to the membership. There are two types of membership available to suit all riders’ needs:

Annual Membership: where you receive a personal bridle tag for 12 months at a cost of £123. When displayed, you can ride in the Park any day during opening hours (8am to 5pm, daily unless otherwise advised). There is no requirement to prebook your day visits. If you require horsebox parking at the nearby Overley Stables, this should be booked in advance via the membership portal.

Day Pass Membership: becoming a day pass member means you can book indvidual days at a cost of £12 per day via the membership portal. If you require horsebox parking at the nearby Overley Stables, this should be booked in advance via the same portal. Once you have booked your slot, simply collect the Day Pass from Overley Stables and head into the Park during the opening hours (as above).

What you need to become a member:

  • Your personal details
  • Payment card
  • Digital copy of third-party liability insurance*

*This can be a copy of your horse riding insurance or proof of membership to one of the following recognised organisations: BHS (Gold), Pony Club UK, ABRS – British Riding Schools, British Eventing, British Dressage, British Show Jumping, Endurance UK, Harry Hall membership, HPA, Countryside Alliance (gold & equestrian).

The Membership Portal

Both membership types can book horsebox parking and day passes via the Membership Portal. Horsebox parking is bookable in 3-hour slots: 8am–11am, 11am–2pm and 2–5pm.

Annual and Day Passes are non-transferable and non-refundable; they are strictly for use by the registered holder only. We do understand that from time to time, circumstances change for Day Pass holders. Should you be unable to use your Day Pass on your booked date, you are able to transfer your booking to another date at the discretion of the Estate. Should you need to rearrange the date of your booking, this can be done by emailing rideinthepark@bathurstestate.co.uk at least 48 hours prior to your booking (ie. 2 days before your riding date). Refunds will only be made under exceptional circumstances.
