For Cirencester Park
Pay as you go parking is available at the Old Kennels Car Park, Cirencester Park (GL7 1XU). There is direct access to the Park by way of Windsor Walk from here.
Parking is also available in the town itself or there is limited free parking at the top of Cecily Hill.
The closest public car park to the entrance at Cecily Hill is The Old Station Car Park. Details about Cirencester Town’s Car Parks can be found here.
For The Mansion
There is no parking at The Mansion; The Old Kennels Car Park (postcode: GL7 1UR) is 500 metres on foot from the entrance or alternatively, The Old Station Car Park is close by.
It is possible to reach The Mansion from Cirencester Park with ease on foot. The closest pedestrian entrance is a short walk away (200 metres) on Cecily Hill. There is some road crossing and narrow pavements.
For Riding in the Park
Horse box parking is available by prior arrangement at Greenhill at Overley. See Riding in the Park.

For Cirencester Park
There is disabled parking at The Old Kennels Car Park. This is a pay-for-use car park. If you are visiting Roots+Seeds Kitchen Garden Restaurant, and require disabled parking close to the premise, please contact the restaurant to arrange.
Parking at The Old Kennels Information
For The Mansion
There is no parking at The Mansion. The closest car park to the entrance is The Old Station Car Park in Cirencester town centre.

As a working Estate, it is necessary from time-to-time to restrict access to some areas to carry out necessary maintenance.
Bad weather such as high winds, or public health concerns may require us to close the Park entirely.
As private parkland, at times the family may wish to close the Park to visitors.
We endeavour to give notice about any closures in advance, or in unforeseen circumstances as promptly as possible; we update our website, social media channels, and signs at the Park gates to advise of closure.
There are two accessible loos available at The Old Kennels, in the covered walkway and next to Corinium Ales. In addition, visitors to Roots+Seeds and Corinium Ales can use their facilities.
There are currently no loo facilities inside the Park. We are working to improve this.
Cirencester Park is dog-friendly but it is part of an active working Estate. Livestock are in Park fields, many areas are in conservation schemes, protected wildlife roams freely. There is also varied leisure and farm activity. Due to the delicate balance of ensuring the Park, its woodlands, paths and roads are safe for all, dog walkers are requested to:
- Stay on the indicated routes only.
- Please keep your dog on a lead where shown, and under close control at all times.
- Clear up after your dog.
- Report any missing dogs, or incidents involving dogs to the Estate Office as promptly as posssible.

We ask that dogs are kept under close control in the areas where they are permitted in accordance to Cirencester Park Terms and Conditions.

Cycling is not allowed in Cirencester Park. Small children (under 5s) are welcome on push bikes or non-motorised scooters under close supervision of an accompanying adult.
For visitors arriving by bicycle, there is a bicycle rack available to secure your bike at The Old Kennels. It is possible to wheel your bicycle to the smaller courtyard next to Roots+Seeds if you wish to visit the café and keep your bike under close supervision.
Yes, horse riders are welcome to purchase a daily pass or an annual pass to enjoy riding in the Park.
Drones are not permitted in Cirencester Park or the wider Estate unless permission has been granted.

Metal detecting is not permitted in Cirencester Park or the wider Estate unless part of an organised event that has been agreed with the Estate.

Small informal picnics are welcome in Cirencester Park however, large gatherings or organised picnics are not permitted; however, you are welcome to picnic at The Jubilee Arboretum located at The Old Kennels. This attractive grass picnic area has benches and is close to Roots+Seeds if you wish to purchase refreshments.
Please use the litter bins provided. Please do not feed the wildlife. BBQs are not permitted.

For items lost in Cirencester Park, you can speak to the Staff on duty at the ticket offices, or the Park Wardens. We keep items found in the Park for up to two weeks.
Please double check you have all your belongings before you leave the Park!
The Audio Tour with Lord Bathurst is pre-recorded and available to listen to via the website. Simply purchase a souvenir booklet online or directly at the ticket office.
Price: £5 for the booklet, which includes a one-time pass code to access the audio via the website.
Points of purchase: online, or in person at the ticket offices at Cecily Hill or Windsor Walk.

How to use: while in the Park, you will find roundel information signs at key points on the walking routes, as indicated in the booklet. Scan the QR codes on the signs with your phone to hear Lord Bathurst talk about the rich history of each spot—simply press play and immerse yourself in the journey.
Please note, due to the outdoor and vast nature of the Park, some spots may offer limited cellular network (4G/5G) and access to the audio may be interrupted because of this. Simply find a good spot where this improves, and log in again.
Roots+Seeds Cafe at The Old Kennels provides Wifi free of charge if you are purchasing food and drink.
You do not need a separate ticket for the woodland ball run. It is free to use for Day and Annual Passholders and Community Passholders.
To enjoy the ball run safely, please note:
- The ball run works with wooden balls available to purchase at the ticket offices at Cecily Hill and Windsor Walk.
- Children must be supervised at all times.
- This activity has moving parts. Please take care.
- Do not climb, sit or hang on the Ball Run structure.
- Keep dogs on lead around Ball Run and do not let them wee on the structure.
- If you notice any problems, please report to the Estate Office (01285 653135) or to the ticket offices.
Passholder FAQ's
The management and maintenance of Estates and private parklands across the country has changed over the decades and is constantly evolving today.
With the increase in visitor use, we now need to innovate and update the way we manage Cirencester Park to ensure continued conservation, restoration, employment, and recreational enjoyment for all.
As part of our commitment to improving the visitor experience within Cirencester Park, we are providing new facilities, information points and a Community Arboretum, all while retaining the character of a Grade I listed parkland.
Passes are being introduced as a way to support this aim.
No, a Pass is not required to visit The Old Kennels, its facilities and shops, the play area and Jubilee Community Arboretum. The facilities at The Old Kennels are outside the Pass Access area.
You are welcome to use the car park (parking fees apply) while visiting The Old Kennels or Cirencester Park. It is a short stay car park that can be used by visitors to Cirencester town but please note the parking fees that apply for longer stays.
Your Community Pass or Annual Pass contains a chip so that it opens automated pedestrian gates at four entry points into the Park:
- Cecily Hill
- The Old Tetbury Road, leading to Windsor Walk
- The Caravan Club leading to the Tennis and Cricket Clubs/ the Queen Anne area.
- Barton Gate
Your Pass means you can use these gates during the Passholder Opening Hours.
While a Pass is not required to open gates at Peddington, this gate is open for use by Passholders only. You may be required to show your Pass on entry.
Your Pass is not required to exit the Park at these gates. There is a push button mechanism for this.

Cirencester Park is open daily from 8am to 5pm to Annual and Community Passholders.
Gates close at 5pm, so last entry is 4.30pm to ensure you have time to exit.

All visitors, whether Day, Annual or Community Passholders, can walk in the areas shown on this Visitors Map, using the routes indicated, during Park opening hours.
There are no public rights of way in Cirencester Park although our walking routes do connect to Public Bridleways leading to Daglingworth and Stratton. These lie outside the Park and Passholder area.
Events are held in Cirencester Park in the wider of the Park. Tickets, access arrangements and areas open to the public for these events is advertised separately.
Community and Annual Passes
Children can be added to a Household Community Pass at the time of application.
Children of secondary school age (11+, in Year 7 and above) who need a Pass to walk to school can use a Community or Annual Pass with parental consent; application for Passes for those aged 11 will be accepted if the child is secondary school age.
Children aged 11 (Year 6, primary school age) and under must be accompanied by an adult/ Passholder in the Park.
Date of birth is required at time of application.
Day Passes
Children aged 6–16 require a Day Pass.
Children aged 5 and under can visit free of charge.

Students who attend an educational setting in Cirencester and live within the postcodes: GL7 0, GL7 1, GL7 2, GL7 5, GL7 6 and GL7 7 or the nearby villages of Edgworth, Frampton Mansell, Ashton Keynes and Latton can apply for a Community Pass. This requires a £10 deposit.
Students who live outside the above stated areas will need to apply for an Annual Pass. There is a Student Discount for students of Cirencester Deer Park School, Cirencester College and the Royal Agricultural University; the annual price is reduced to £10 for those attending these educational settings.
Any further discount for students funded by bursary is by special arrangement; please contact your school/ college/university to enquire.

Cirencester Park and Mansion Tours
One registered carer accompanying a paying disabled visitor is entitled to a concession Day Pass or Tour Ticket to be purchased together with the paying visitor.
If you are a registered carer who wishes to visit Cirencester Park independently, you may wish to hold your own Pass.

Please carry your Annual, Community or Day Pass with you when you visit the Park.
Cirencester Park Annual and Community Passes have a practical use as they open automated gates at the specified entry points; the physical card is tapped against a keypad and this releases the gate lock.
Your Pass also helps us identify you, if required. If requested by Park staff, please display it.
The Day Pass can be shown from your mobile device.

Community Passholders are welcome to bring a maximum of 6 (six) friends and/or family as guests when accompanied by the Community Passholder. This is only applicable if you plan to stay together during your visit.
If you do not plan to stay together while inside the Park, guests must purchase a Day Pass.
If a member of staff asks to see a Pass and you do not hold one, or are separated from the Community Passholder, you will be asked to purchase one.
Annual Passholders: if you hold a Household Pass, you can access the Park with those listed on your Pass. Please advise additional guests about the Day Pass prices.

Guests at Cirencester Park Caravan and Motorhome Club will be provided with a Pitch Pass that allows you to access Cirencester Park in the same way as an Annual or Community Passholder. Please enquire at the Club's information desk.
Community Passes allow the holder to enter Cirencester Park free of charge; this access is reserved for those who reside in a specified area only.
For this reason, we ask you to demonstrate your eligibility by submitting, at time of application, a recent document that names you and your corresponding property address. For example: council tax bill, utility bill, bank letter, business employment letter, driver's license. Please ensure the date of the document is visible.
You can do this online, or in person at a the ticket office on Cecily Hill.
We verify your application before issuing a Community Pass.
On confirmation of your Pass, all Passholders will be requested to upload a photo of the Lead Passholder to 'My Portal' which is a members area where you can view your Pass information, including your eligibility document. Your photo is not printed on your Pass but it does assist members of staff to recognise our members going forward, as well as a form of ID.
Once you have applied for a Community or Annual Pass, you will be sent a membership reference number. With this, you can then log into the Membership Portal to amend certain aspects of your application such as your eligibility document, if required.
To access the Portal, you need to ‘Create an Account’, using the membership reference number.

We will advise you how to arrange a replacement. Alternatively, visit the ticket office on Cecily Hill to speak to a member of staff.
Annual Passes are renewed one year after you apply. There is an annual fee. We will be in touch prior to the expiry date. If you do not wish to renew your Pass, it will be deactivated.
Community Passes: eligibility is checked annually. If there is no change to your circumstances, then your Pass will be renewed. No additional deposit is required. You can continue to use your existing Pass. If you do not wish to renew your Pass, it will be deactivated.
We will be in touch nearer the renewal date to advise further.
Community Passholders
If you no longer wish to access Cirencester Park (ie. you move away from the area), you are entitled to a deposit refund on the return of your Community Pass to the Estate.
- You can send Community Pass to the Estate Office with a brief cover letter to confirm you no longer wish to be a Passholder.
- You can deliver your Community Pass to the ticket office at Cecily Hill Gates. The Lead Pasholder will be present to do this to ensure that Passes are not cancelled in error.
- You must supply proof of the original transaction to receive a refund in the form of your original transaction receipt with the unique Transaction Refererence number.
- We will then cancel the membership, and arrange the return of your deposit.
- Once your Pass is cancelled, you will no longer have the access rights of a Passholder. You can still enjoy Cirencester Park by purchasing a Day Pass.
Annual Passholders
- This is an annual membership; if you do not wish to be a member after one year, do not renew. Annual Passes are non-refundable.
